Passion Camp 2026

This July, our students will join thousands of middle and high schoolers from across the country in Daytona Beach for Passion Camp — five days built around one thing: the glory of Jesus. Passion Camp comes out of the Passion movement (the Passion Conferences and team led by Louie Giglio), and it weaves together worship, teaching, and a whole lot of fun on the shores of Daytona Beach.

Three parts of the week have us especially excited for your student:

  • Worship — multiple sessions of wholehearted worship led by the Passion band and special guests.

  • Teaching — Louie Giglio and others challenging students with a simple, life-shaping idea: the greatest life is one spent for what matters most.

  • Squads — high-energy Squad Wars every morning, where the whole camp competes all week long. (This is where our white-out CYCLONES come in — more on that below!)

Add four days at the beach with their friends and leaders, and you get the kind of week students come home from changed. This year’s theme comes from Isaiah 26:8 — “your name and your renown are the desire of our souls.” That’s our prayer for your student: that they’d come home with a bigger view of God and a deeper desire to follow Him.

We can’t wait. Thank you for entrusting your student to us — here’s everything you need to get them ready.

Before You Go

Electronic waivers due Friday, July 10. Every student attending Passion Camp must have two waivers on file before arriving at camp: the electronic Passion Camp Waiver, which was sent to the parent email address provided during registration, and the RCY Medical Liability Waiver, our standard release for all RCY events. If you've already submitted the RCY waiver for a previous event, you're all set — no need to complete it again. If we don't have one on file for your student, please fill it out using the link above. Students who do not have both waivers on file will not be permitted to participate in Passion Camp until the completed forms have been received.

Camp cost: $450 ($75 registration). Please pay in full by Friday, July 10. If you need additional time, email kevin@rivercitychurch.com to make arrangements. The only cash your student needs is meal money for travel days.

Getting There & Back

  • Once we leave that lunch stop, we’ll send an RCY text with the estimated arrival time.

Squad Wars — Go Cyclones!

Our team color is WHITE! Squad Wars runs three mornings — Tuesday, Wednesday, and Thursday — so each student needs three white outfits (one per day).

The crazier and more creative, the better — it earns team points! We encourage fun, creative ways to wear white: white wigs, beads and necklaces, face paint, white hair spray, headbands, tutus, pom-poms, socks, sunglasses — whatever makes your student stand out. Students sometimes team up to make DIY white shirts ahead of time. Be extra — go all out!

Meals & Spending Money

  • Breakfast, lunch, and dinner are provided at camp Tuesday through Thursday. Dietary restrictions noted on the registration form are accommodated at every meal.

  • Travel meals: students bring $35–$40 for lunch on the drive down and the drive home.

  • Optional Passion merch and resources: if your student wants to shop.

  • Students may bring their own snacks (sharing is up to them); each room has a mini-fridge.

What to Pack

  • Three white outfits for Squad Wars (Tue–Thu) + creative white accessories

  • Bible, pen, and journal

  • Beach towel (the hotel does not provide towels for the beach)

  • Refillable water bottle and sunscreen

  • Toiletries — deodorant, toothbrush, toothpaste, etc.

  • Athletic / comfortable clothes for 5 days; sneakers or Crocs for sessions, sandals for the beach/pool

  • Appropriate swimwear — no Speedos or revealing bikinis

  • Meal/merch money and optional snacks

Please leave at home: phones, electronic devices, gaming consoles, fireworks, firearms or weapons of any kind, alcohol, drugs or cannabis of any kind, vaping devices, and any tobacco or nicotine products.

Trip Expectations

  • Follow RCC leaders and keep your leader informed.

  • Never go alone! Stay with your room group or in groups of three. Your assigned leader needs to know where you are at all times.

  • No PDA. Guys are not allowed in girls’ rooms, and vice versa.

  • Stay in your rooms after being dismissed from group time. If a student does not follow this rule, parents will immediately be called to pick up their student.

  • Participate fully in all group sessions and activities. Leaders supervise all free time, including the beach and pool.

  • Stay hydrated and wear sunscreen!

Health & Medication

All medication must be listed on the registration form, handed to the designated RCC leader at check-in, and administered by that leader. Students may not self-medicate, other than carrying an emergency inhaler or epi-pen. If a family does not follow this policy, the student will be sent home and must be picked up by a parent in Daytona Beach.

Passion Camp has medical personnel on-site at all times for emergencies.

Staying Connected

  • No phones during camp. If your student needs to reach you (or you need to reach them), our leaders will have their phones available.

  • Reaching your student: contact their room leader (you’ll get this number at check-in) or one of the trip leaders below.

  • Heads up: cell service is limited inside the Ocean Center during sessions, so replies may be delayed. Please be patient.
